Greater Lisbon Christian Academy

Located just north of the beautiful city of Lisbon in Ramada, Greater Lisbon Christian Academy has an amazing view of the greater Lisbon area.  All of our teaching and curriculum are in English. We focus on the whole student by teaching Bible along with all other academic subjects. Weekly chapels help reinforce our core values and beliefs. Our school is known for having a wonderful family atmosphere. 


We are a traditional American Christian School primarily for the children of missionaries operated by the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. GLCA is a member school of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Our Purpose Statement

The Greater Lisbon Christian Academy exists to assist missionary parents  by providing for their children a college-preparatory education in an atmosphere that demonstrates and encourages Christian character and growth in preparation for a life of ministry.  
Our History:  The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) began ministering in Portugal in 1980. Greater Lisbon Christian Academy was established during the early years of ABWE's ministry in this country.  The school has been providing a quality education for missionary children for more than 30 years.  Knowing that their children are being adequately prepared academically has given missionaries more time to dedicate to their ministries here in Portugal.

Driving Directions:
Head north on IC22 toward Odivelas (follow signs toward A9)
Take the Loures/Caneças exit.
Go 3/4 way around the circle at the end of the exit ramp.
Drive up the hill to the next circle and go toward Ramada.
Go up the hill and take the first right.
Continue straight until you get to a circle.
Go straight through the circle and head up the hill toward the pink building on the left at the next intersection.​
